Volunteer Opportunities

There are so many things each person can do to benefit the earth and their local community.

We have several major projects that we always need help with and many more in the pipeline that we would love to collaborate with people on.
We also network with a bunch of organizations and people who have similar goals and are involved in related projects. We’d love to work with you or help steer you towards the right people.

Active Projects

Uroot.org - An environmental social network that encourages people to share ideas & work on solutions to the climate crisis and other social and environmental issues together.

You can help RIGHT NOW by listing events, linking to websites, and posting your article content.
Food Forest School - Teaches people how to build/manage self-sustaining biodiverse ecosystems that provide nutrionally dense food for local communities & native wildlife, and also double as reforestation/conservation/remediation sites.

We always need help to list upcoming Workshops, Events, Permaculture Design Courses (PDCs), and College Credit courses. If you're an experienced foodforester, please CONTACT US to coordinate with us and list things on the site.

Projects in Development

Greenbelt Corridors - Working with local governments and organizations to promote and expand greenbelt corridors, wide swathes of land connecting larger natural ecosystems allowing wildlife to easily and safely access to different areas.

Rights of Nature - Working with local governments and organizations to rally for legal definitions that give natural areas and the bio-diversity within it inalienable rights to exist and thrive.

RAIN (Regional Afforestation Income Network) - A Universal Income Cryptocurrency that uses decentralized monitoring and authentication systems to incentivize reforestation, regional bio-diversity, carbon sequestration, clean water, etc, while providing universal basic income to people around the world.

Food Forest U-Picks - Self-sustaining biodiverse ecosystems that provide nutrionally dense food for local communities & native wildlife, and also double as reforestation/conservation/remediation sites.
